SUBMITTING A VIDEO

The purpose of this segment is to demonstrate how making physical adjustments to the singer can effect the quality of the sound.  To be considered for a coaching slot in the upcoming SBA Vocal Mechanics class, you must first be fully registered then  submit a 1-2 minute video of you singing.  Performers will be selected prior to the class.  See guidelines and instructions below.

GUIDELINES:

-Age Requirement:  16 and up.  

-Register: Students must be fully registered for the class to be considered for a coaching slot.  To register for the class click "register" on the previous page and complete the 2 step process ("student info" and "payment").   Once you've received a confirmation email, you may submit your video.  

-Filming: Record the video with your full body in the frame.  (or as much as you can.  Frame should be at least to the waist) 

-Song Choice: Choose a "singable song"; a piece that allows your voice to move through musical phrases and shows some range.  While this class is not geared towards a specific genre,  I highly recommend choosing something more legit/traditional. For modern/popular songs ballads are the better choice.  Please no hip hop, rap, or mainstream pop.  If you have questions about your song choice email Sarah at sarah@sarahbethandrews.com .  

INSTRUCTIONS:

-How to Send:

1. Include your name in the file (ex. "PattiLupone_Vocal_Mechanics_Submission.MOV").

2. Upload your video to GoogleDrive.

3.  Share with Sarah at sbaaudio@gmail.com .  Subject: " [your name] Vocal Mechanics Submission".
