Learn the do's and don'ts of musical theatre auditions in Sarah Beth Andrews' Audition Basics Class (high school edition). This class is designed to educate students on audition fundamentals and give them an opportunity to practice in a judgement free setting. Taught by industry professional singer, AEA actress, and coach Sarah Beth Andrews, this class is ideal for high school freshmen or are new to a sheet music audition process, or for those looking to get some extra insight and practice.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Sarah will first explain the ins and outs of auditions. She will cover: general expectations, how to prepare sheet music, teach common music and theatre terminology, and reveal tips and tricks to make an audition more impactful. Students will then get to experience a series of mock auditions with a live accompanist. The class will conclude with a Q&A.
WHAT TO BRING:
-Printed sheet music of at least two audition songs of your choice. Audition books are encouraged if you have one.

Sarah Beth Andrews is an actress, singer, coach, and creator of this class. Over the last decade she has performed for Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Paris, and Equity theatre productions. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University and is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association and The National Association of Teachers of Singing. SBA currently maintains a private studio.
